FreezPen Cryotherapy

About this device
FreezPen is a precision cryotherapy pen that fits in the palm of a hand — no scalpel and no laser, just a point of intense, controlled cold. At our clinic it is the go-to instrument for warts and small benign skin growths.
It uses nitrous oxide (N₂O) cartridges to cool the applicator tip to −89 °C (manufacturer specification). Applicators in different sizes are matched to the size of each growth, so the cold concentrates on the target itself and largely spares the healthy skin around it. Common warts, skin tags, sun and age spots and seborrheic keratoses are all within its range, and each spot takes just seconds — a quick touch of cold, and it is done.
The process is fast, comfort is high and recovery is short; most people return to their day right away. One rule our clinic never skips: every growth is assessed before treatment. Anything dark in colour, irregular in shape or of uncertain nature is reviewed by a physician first, to confirm whether cryotherapy is appropriate — never treat first and ask later.

Good to know
- Treated spots typically form a small crust that sheds naturally over the following days — keep the area clean and do not pick at it
- Mild redness, swelling or a small blister can occur and usually settles on its own
- Complete removal in a single session is not guaranteed — some growths need more than one treatment, and results and session counts vary from person to person
- Protect treated areas from the sun while they heal
